At least he didn't make any cracks about "Jew York City"
Larry Taylor is League City's state rep, and a co-chair of the state's Joint Legislative Committee on Windstorm Insurance.

According to the Quorum Report, at a hearing today he "was discussing delivery of quick and fair payments for windstorm victims."

What's so bad about that? Well, here's how he "discussed" it: "Don't nitpick, don't try to Jew them down."

In his defense, the Republican immediately added "That's probably a bad term" before resuming his remarks, so it's clear he has a deep understanding of what might be offensive.

He has apologized, because "many" people find the phrase offensive. Not "almost all" people, we guess.:

At a legislative oversight committee hearing today, I inadvertently used a phrase that many people find offensive.

I corrected myself immediately when I realized what I had said.

I regret my poor choice of words and sincerely apologize for any harm they may have caused.
