It's Official, Houston: You Live in an American League City Now

• Doesn't make up for the AL crap, the Yankees, and the effing awful DH.. Now we have baseball+ in Houston, color me unimpressed, fine with traditional baseball.. 

• Those of you bitching about the move to the AL are forgetting a very important thing: drayton McLane is gone, and hopefully his incompetent minions, Tal Smith and Ed Wade will soon have security escorting them off of the premises.

• Has nothing to do with the pitcher batting, it is the style of play in the AL.  It is basically softball with a smaller ball.  Hurry up and wait for a five run inning, little to no strategey employed, it's complete and utter bullshit.  Selig should be replaced for blackmailing Crane into switching leagues.   Send the fucking Brewers back to the AL, or the Diamondbacks who said they would gladly switch if asked.  Fuck Bud Selig, and fuck the American League.  Been a Stros fan for thirty plus years, but I am not going to subject myself to bullshit baseball after the 2012 season.

• An overall good baseball player should be able to pitch and hit.

• Well, although the purist in me agrees with you, I've seen enough pitchers injured being hit by pitches and running the bases to rethink the idea that pitchers should be forced to play offense.

• I'll never understand this line of reasoning. What's so great about a pitcher going up to bat? That would be like making a sales man take over the IT Department at work. It has never made sense to me...

• F- the MLB, the AL, and the designated hitter crap. Part of me just died..

• I'm glad we don't have to watch pitchers walk up to the plate with the Deer in the headlights look they usually have. I'm going to miss the old St. Louis rivalry. Other than that, it doesn't matter to me where the Astro's suck it up...

• I for one am looking forward to visits by the Royals, since I'm a Royals fan and all. They are primed for a run with all the young talent they have in pipeline. That's more than can be said of the 'stros.

• A half-century of tradition means nothing if you have never made it the the World Series. And I don't count Juice Head Roger and Pathetic Roidboy Pettiit getting us there as reality.   That was just drug injuiced fantasy.  

• Baseball in Houston died today.

• Makes me sad ---
