Comment of the Day: Let the Coog Hatred Bloom
We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We noted that the Kansas State Wildcats had put out T-shirts declaring themselves "Texas State Champs" because they beat UT, A&M, Tech and Baylor this year. It seemed to us a bit presumptuous, seeing as they didn't play the best team in the state -- the UH Coogs.
It brought forth K-State scorn.
Let's be real.... wrote, when the argument turned to compairing UH and KSU's strength of schedule:
are we really aruguing about SOS?!? ok maybe in Houston they dont understnd that when your SOS is 115 that is NOT a good thing!! compare that to K-State's SOS (6th!!) and this argument is over...get over the fact that your a "poor man's" Boise State from the south who hasnt beaten anyone! Atleast Boise has a few LEGIT w's to hang their hat on...ask anyone not from Houston to name football schools from the State of texas and UH is an afterthought even behind Baylor and TCU (there is a reason they are entering the Big 12 and you are still begging for the invite) proving UH is nothing but the texas stepchild...I will gladly take all this back if Houston actually beats someone in a BCS bowl game but until then keep dreaming while u play ur GREAT conference opponents...
