West U & The Galleria: The Most Rat-Infested Places In Town?
D-Con, the pest-control people, have released a survey of the "Rattiest Neighborhoods" in Houston.
Rats stay in only the best neighborhoods in Houston.
In reality, it seems more like "The Neighborhoods Rich Enough To Call d-Con if they see a mouse or rat."
The company says "approximately 200 participants were polled about frequency of rodent sightings in their homes and neighborhoods," and "the following neighborhoods are perceived to be the 'rattiest' in Houston":
West University Place (60 percent)
Uptown/Galleria (53 percent)
The Heights (36 percent)
Take that, Fifth Ward!!!
Houston was one of five cities polled.
"The five cities included in the survey were chosen based on results of the 2009 d-CON Rodent Risk Report, conducted by leading rodent experts Dale Kaukeinen and Dr. Bruce Colvin," the company said. "The report revealed how climate changes and recent economic factors such as rising foreclosure rates and unemployment have had a substantial impact on the rising threat of rodent activity across the country."
