The Longhorn Network's Sad, Defensive Twitter Account

College football fans all across the nation are eagerly awaiting the biggest game of the decade: ~~LSU-Alabama~~ Texas-Kansas.

Unfortunately for those (very few) fans, the game is being broadcast on the Longhorn Network, an operation with all the reach of the DuMont Network airing the 1951 World Series.

The Longhorn Network, as Awful Announcing recently noted, is not off to a rousing start.

You would never know it from the network's Twitter account. On the other hand, maybe you would.

The Longhorn Network has to rank up there with New Coke, Chris Gaines, and the re-designed NBA basketball during the 2006 season as one of the most comically bad experiments in recent memory. They're all answers to questions nobody asked.

The LHN is a debacle, no doubt. But if there was any game to NOT watch this season ... it's the UT vs Kansas game.

You're right. Texas should win big, no competition, boring game, not worth watching.Even worse -- if hell should open up for Texas and KU makes a game of it -- or >gasp< actually wins (ain't gonna happen) -- you'll be glad that no one saw what would surely be a national media trumpeted embarrassment besides those folks at the stadium and those who have LHN access -- all 5 of them.

If a UT game plays on the LHN and no one can watch it, does anyone really care?

As a life-long UT fan, I have to say, this network is bullshit. I understand why all the other schools in the Big 12 are pissed, except for A&M, that is just funny as hell. Good luck in the SEC bitches.
