Terry Dale Carnes: In prison for at least 30 years.
Talk about getting scum off the streets -- a Montgomery County man tied to at least five attempted or actual child rapes was sentenced to four life sentences, and won't be eligible for parole for 30 years.

The Montgomery County DA's office says they will include paperwork in his file "requesting that [he] never be released from prison."

Terry Dale Carnes was convicted in two cases -- child kidnappings, with one carrying an additional charge of forcible child sexual assault. During the punishment phase of the trial, three other children testified about similar experiences with him.

"Terry Dale Carnes is everyone's worst nightmare: a violent child serial rapist who breaks into houses to abduct his victims or pulls them into his car as they walk along the street," stated District Attorney Brett Ligon. "Life in prison is the only just sentence for such an atrocious criminal. I hope the five brave victims who testified in this case sleep a little better knowing Terry Dale Carnes will never ever get out of prison again."

The first victim Carnes was convicted of was a six-year-old taken from her home, the Montgomery County DA's office said. "He held his hand over her mouth as he carried her out of her home into his waiting vehicle. Once inside his vehicle, he physically and sexually assaulted her," the DA's office said. "She was released and told her parents what had occurred the next morning."

A month later, Carnes abducted a 14-year-old girl "in an obvious attempt to sexually assault her," the DA said. "The young girl bit him on the arm and was able to flee the moving vehicle."

Two girls and a boy testified about Carnes's attempts to abduct them.
