When Cows Attack: Woman Sues Over Bovine Assault

You ain't driving on MY road.
You're rolling along in the East Texas town of China, presumably minding your own business, when a cow decides to attack your car.

What do you do?

If you're Linda Anderson, you get out of the car in front of an obviously annoyed cow. And then you get attacked by it.

And then you sue.

We don't have the cow's version of this vicious, thug-like incident, but Anderson has related hers in a lawsuit filed in Jefferson County.

She doesn't sue the cow directly, but says the animal's owner did not take the proper care to keep his animal fenced in.

Anderson says she was driving home in May when she met the unnamed cow, who "rammed her vehicle and dented the driver's side," according to the Southeast Texas Record.

"When she got out of the car to check out the damage, the cow attacked her," the Record says.

The suit says she suffered severe if unspecified injuries. She "is suing for punitive damages and her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs," the Record says.

If the cow gets back to us, we'll update.
