Ken Scripa gives himself a happy ending, police say
A Washington Avenue massage therapist sexually assaulted one of his clients early last month, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Police say a woman told them that 53-year-old Kenneth Scripa greeted her as she walked in the door of Scripa Wellness and Massage at 1708-A Washington, told her to disrobe and then lie down on a massage table.

After massaging her back for a time, Scripa told the woman to roll over and then allegedly manually sexually assaulted her. The woman immediately exclaimed, "Oh no you don't!" and leaped off the table, whereupon, the woman said, she saw that Scripa was fondling his erect penis, which was visible above the waist of his pants.

The woman swiftly put her clothes back on, fled the establishment, made outcry to a friend and filed a timely police report. The woman later picked Scripa from a police photo array.

Internet reviewers of Scripa's business complained of being told that their appointments subsequent to the alleged assault were canceled without notice. Some were told that Scripa had suffered a stroke. (Other Internet reviewers complained of Scripa's wandering hands and creepy ways here and even more here long before the alleged incident. The victim of the attack even speaks out and identifies herself as the wife of an HPD cop.)

"Scripa is moving to bigger facility in the near future," wrote one reviewer months before the alleged incident. That may indeed be true, but that facility might not be an expanded massage therapy business.

Scripa has been charged with sexual assault and is free on $30,000 bond.

This guy isn't even a massage therapist - look him up on the Texas licensing website and he's not listed as a licensed massage therapist.  I didn't see a regisration or certificate anywhere either.  At best he's rip-off artist and a fraud...at the worst... well. we know what that is don't we.

I don't buy the allegations either.  I get massages from Ken all the time and while I admit he's a bit eccentric, he's very professional and  gives probably the best massages in H town.  I should have told him though that growing out his hair was going to creep people out.

WOMEN HAVE THE OPTION TO CHOOSE A FEMALE OVER A MALE MASSAGE THERAPIST...WE ALSO KNOW THAT SOONER, OR HOW MUCH LATER WILL THE MALE BE ACCUSED..

I went to Scripa from the Living Social deal and had the same thought.  The place was sketchy and all the massage therapists were creepy.  Awful experience.

From the pic, he looks like he had his throat slit at some point.  Just adds to the creepy mystique.

My friends and I bought the package this place offered through Living Social last year, and we weren't there for 5 minutes before we realized something just wasn't right. We all left, and requested a refund from Living Social. It was disappointing to see they offered the same package again several months later. This guy oozed creepiness!

A friend of mine bought a Living Social deal from this studio about 9 months ago, and she came back from the massage warning all of her friends about this guy. We went back and looked at the CitySearch reviews and realized he was a repeat creep.  I'm not surprised in the slightest that this happened.
