Ken Scripa: Massage Therapist Accused of Sexually Assaulting Client
A Washington Avenue massage therapist sexually assaulted one of his clients early last month, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Ken Scripa gives himself a happy ending, police say
Police say a woman told them that 53-year-old Kenneth Scripa greeted her as she walked in the door of Scripa Wellness and Massage at 1708-A Washington, told her to disrobe and then lie down on a massage table.
After massaging her back for a time, Scripa told the woman to roll over and then allegedly manually sexually assaulted her. The woman immediately exclaimed, "Oh no you don't!" and leaped off the table, whereupon, the woman said, she saw that Scripa was fondling his erect penis, which was visible above the waist of his pants.
The woman swiftly put her clothes back on, fled the establishment, made outcry to a friend and filed a timely police report. The woman later picked Scripa from a police photo array.
Internet reviewers of Scripa's business complained of being told that their appointments subsequent to the alleged assault were canceled without notice. Some were told that Scripa had suffered a stroke. (Other Internet reviewers complained of Scripa's wandering hands and creepy ways here and even more here long before the alleged incident. The victim of the attack even speaks out and identifies herself as the wife of an HPD cop.)
"Scripa is moving to bigger facility in the near future," wrote one reviewer months before the alleged incident. That may indeed be true, but that facility might not be an expanded massage therapy business.
Scripa has been charged with sexual assault and is free on $30,000 bond.
