A man was killed in a robbery near Reliant Park as he was taking his father home from treatments at the Texas Medical Center.

Salem Saif Al Mazrouei, 28, is an officer in the army of the United Arab Emirates, reports UAE publication The National. He and his father were getting out of their car at their apartment in the 8100 block of El Mundo about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when they were approached by two men, HPD says.
"One suspect pulled out a pistol and both suspects then demanded property from Mazrouei and his father," police say. "While the two suspects were robbing them, Mazrouei and his father attempted to flee. As the victims were running away, one of the suspects shot Mazrouei several times."
The two, described only as " tall black males," drove off in the victim's car, which was later recovered.
