Amanda Kueht: Drug Counselor Arrested For Sexing Up Underage Patient

Mandykueht.jpg
Amanda Kueht: Getting too close, cops say
A West U substance-abuse counselor has been charged with having sex with a 16-year-old male patient.

Amanda Leann Kueht, 28, and the male were discovered by a West U cop a little after midnight July 25 in the back seat of a car in a church parking lot. They were partially dressed.

In court documents, the cop says the male said he had been a patient of Kueht's for about a year and had begun a sexual relationship with her about two weeks prior to the chuch-lot sex.

The kid was pretty forthcoming, according to the cop. He said Kueht had given him a blow job in the parking lot of his apartment complex, and he let it fly:

"He stated that he ejaculated on the defendant's face, breasts and stomach," which sounds like a whole lot of ejaculating.

He also said they had had sex during a counseling retreat in Idaho.

"The complainant further told [me] of numerous other sexual encounters" during the Idaho trip, and we're betting he didn't spare the details, although the cop does.

Kueht is listed as a managing counselor for Cornerstone Recovery in West U. A doctor there told Hair Balls she was unaware of the arrest; she said the attorney handling the matter for the Cornerstone board had advised her not to comment because the case was under investigation.

Kueht's bio says "She is completely dedicated to helping adolescents and their families recover. Mandy takes pride in being organized and dependable. Over time it has become apparent that she has a passion and enthusiasm for the 12 steps and helping others, as well as her own spiritual and mental growth."

She faces a felony charge of sex with a minor under 17. Bond has been set at $30,000.

Given the nature of the offense, the sexual assault of a child (a 2nd degree felony), I find it outrageous that The Houston Press would publish the details of the offense and that the West University Police would provide such information.  Doing so in a "humorous" way betrays the sensitivity that this subject deserves.  This article adds insult to injury for the child involved and his family.  The breach of trust where a counselor engages in sex with a child who is 12 years younger suffering from drug addiction is compounded by reporting on aspects of the crime for the perverse interests of its readers.  This is an unforgiveable breach of journalistic ethics and privacy that causes untold harm for people already struggling with life-threatening issues.

This information about doctor show their hairballs and unaware of the arrest. The lawyer responsible for the matter of the Cornerstone Board had advised him not to comment because the case was under investigation.

EducationSex Cures Teenage Delinquency, UT Study Says

Love conquers all, UT says.Worried about your teenaged son or daughter becoming a delinquent? Get them into someone's pants, quick.A new study from the University of Texas says sex is the secret to solving delinquency. But before you get all riled up, understand that it's "romantic" sex they're talking about, not a bunch of random hookups."Sexually active teens in committed, romantic relationships are less likely to engage in delinquent behavior than teens who have casual sex," the study says.Wait a second. In either scenario, teens are having sex! We thought Rick Perry was preaching abstinence!! Are you trying to tell us kids aren't listening?Okay, you have to assume -- just for the sake of argument -- that there are possibly some kids who disagree with Perry on the wonders of abstinence. Given that, UT psychologists say, it's much better if you're doing it with someone you love/like/tolerate because you're getting laid than if you just go gallivantin' about. The results "may suggest that teens who spend more one-on-one time with their boyfriends or girlfriends, and less time with their friends, have fewer opportunities to get into trouble," UT says."It can be difficult for researchers to understand how dating experiences in adolescence influence behavior because there can be pre-existing differences between teenagers who date versus those who don't," one of the authors of the study, with the slightly suggestive name of Paige Harden, says.So the study looked at 519 same-sex twins from across the country and quizzed them on their sex and delinquency habits.Among teens aged 13-15, "Genes related to impulsivity, extroversion and early puberty may influence young adolescents to have sex in non-dating relationships. These same genes may also put them at risk for adverse psychological outcomes," the study found.Update: Our sister paper LA Weekly's sex blog LA After Dark has more analysis on the study.Tags: research, Sex

I know each situation is different but at age 16 I would have made a firm decision to ejaculate with the counselor as well and I'd have been pissed that my cookie went to jail. I bet I could have even gotten a permission slip from my dad if that'd made it OK. This is in no way to make fun of real rape in abuse that takes place every day and is a tragedy. But at age 16 I was gonna be active, I was gonna party and noone was going to tell me differently and bagging the hot 28-year-old counselor would have been the icing on my high school cake. Hardly traumatic. Yeah she probably should be relieved of her counselor duties and relieving people at strip club somewhere but to call this child molestation regardless of the law, is kind of disrespectful to the victims  that are just babies 5-10 living a hellish nightmare from a sick monster.

not surprising  Cornerstone Recovery follows the Cult teachings of Bob Meehan  where sexual encounters are sometimes encouraged. I can't believe insurance pays for this BS nor the fact that  Houston churches allow them to meet on their properties.

In many countries sex between a 16 year old and an adult is legal. Maybe Kueht should have practiced counseling in Germany or Japan

cornerstone's not a mess, obviously there's just a problem with a councler. cornerstone has helped save lives and families. mandy just fucked up.

This is (at least) the 5th time this has happened at Cornerstone actually in the 11 years it's been around, just the first time the police caught it and that's why it's in the media.  I'd call that a mess if you ask me.

Cornerstone has also torn apart many families for that matter with their cultish practices.  read http://www.orange-papers.org/ orange papers and http://stinkin-thinkin.com/ stinkin thinkin

You notice that when an older woman is involved they call it "a relationship". When an older man is involved they call it RAPE or MOLESTATION?

Sirkissa
Sirkissa

This person took advantage of her power and authority to have sex with a minor. And all some of you can say is she's hot? She broke the law! And WTH is wrong with these women? I really dislike pedophiles, male or female.

So what if she broke the law? The law is retarded.

This isn't pedophilia you brainwashed idiot.

Sirkissa
Sirkissa

Oh really? Then what is?

Vintom Lebowski
Vintom Lebowski

There's a difference between clinical pedophilia and "sexual abuse of a person who cannot consent" under law.

There are laws that prosecute people who sleep with teenagers who are past puberty. Clinically it's not pedophilia, but colloquially people may call people who violate age of consent laws "pedophiles"

American women have lost all composure. And, why only a $30,000 bond? a man's bond would be 10x that amount.

The reason addiction treatment programs don't work is because they get people addicted to even more drugs like anti-depressants, mood stabilizers, and anti-anxiety meds.   Addiction treatment places like this obviously don't have clue one what they are doing.  You can't give brain chemical - enhancing drugs to people suceptible to addictions.

Chances are that this woman was also taking them, like anti-depressants.  Most all stories of women who go perv on their underage students involves these drugs.

The best thing to do to succeed in being drug free is actually be it.  If you have to go to treatment, be compliant don't make waves with Nazi's, take the prescription, act like you're taking it, and flush it down the toilet.  That's where psych meds belong.

Sirkissa
Sirkissa

I'm curious, why are you so down on psych meds? They do help people with chemical imbalances in the brain. I'm not talking about addicts either.

Haa. I hated this bitch. She always told me to work my program and kicked my outta OP for not doin 1 peice of It. She was always a hoe. Fuck her. kamras a bitch.

Interesting. If the sexes involved had been male, there would have been howels of protest and much allusion to stomach-wrenching, but since this is hetrosexual molestation it is not only sanctioned but defended. If it had been a male with a teenage girl, again, the protests would have been loud and clear. What sheep we are; what victims of our moral programing. Well, since she's barely faced any public ridicule, it will be interesting to see how the state deals with it. Will they revoke her licenece, will she face professional sanctions. Curious.

what about this is "molestation?" I remember being a 16 year old boy, and this sounds pretty consensual to me. Even eagerly so.

There was no moral crime here.  The couple was just stupid. 16 is beyond the age of consent in most states and 2/3 of the 3d world. Much younger kids, drive, get married and die in battle throughout the world.

The rush to judgement is pretty disheartening. People that know her say they know she did it. How? According th boy it has only happen a couple weeks ago. I doubt there were any signs of it going on in that amount of time if indeed it was even going on. You should wait until we have more facts especially those that "know" her.

guest_0
guest_0

Yeah, but anyway, she did it. Maybe you don't have enough facts to come to a conclusion on it and that's fine, but some of us already do. Those who know her and know she did it aren't basing their knowledge of it on one little article, keep that in mind when you're saying people are "rushing to judgement."

being a former cornerstone client and having had to submit myself to mandys rules and regulations, all i can say is KARMA. forcing a 16 year old kid out on the streets cause he talked to an ex girlfriend isnt "counseling". she deserves everything. someone needs to write an honestly list...

Ihave seen kids go through OP in 3 months, how long did it take you? or did younever finish? It must be tough being a failure in a group of drug-addicts. I amsorry you never made it on committee. Were you not unconditionally loved? Itmight be because you are not very loveable. Have fun working at Starbucks tillyou are 40 then quietly killing yourself. If you have been thinking aboutdrinking lately, I would go ahead and do it. Because no one would care. And bythe way...your parents kicked you out, not Mandy. Do you think anybody couldhave made them if they didn’t want you. Sound like your parents didn’t like youvery much either.

I am sorry you are still in a place where you think being on a committee is cool.  Committees are a great place for Cornerstone to get free help and recruit mroe members while telling you, you are working a 12th step.  Really they just want those newcomers to stay to make a larger group, make more money and feed Kirk's fantasies that, YES, he is a Recovery God.

LOL I am not the original poster but I have to respond to your ridiculous reply. After 2 years in an RTC, I went into cornerstone as well,  and after a yearI quit, and then proceeded to go to one of the best colleges in the country. I drink, yes, but I'm responsible with it. Its called finding a middle ground, most cornerstoners aren't addicts they are just young and irresponsible. and I know a shit ton of people that work the program and most of them dont do shit with their lives. They get a 9-5 and spend all their spare time going to meetings....or fucking councilors (lol). Anyway all that is off the subject, my main point is that what Mandy did was wrong and illegal. Don't try and use that "oh but she is a sick person just like everyone else in AA." I know kids who  where kicked out of cornerstone for trying to have a relationship with a peer, and they were just "sick people." So alcoholic or not she will receive due punishment, that is if evidence is sufficient. On the other hand I don't know what kind of fifone kid would rat to the police about something like that. When your not so cornerstoned maybe you will see things clearly.

I have no doubt that I know you Green.  Get on FB and look up Jim Jones (jj).  He has followers from all over the country who used to be in Enthusiastic Sobriety groups.  I hope all current and ex members of The Group look up this page.  As a matter of fact, you can also look up "The Group"  on FB.  It is a film that is currently being made about a young man's journey through these groups.

I completely agree Bob.  I was in there for almost 15 years and I have seen THOUSANDS leave, only a few left in a body bag and only a few did time.  The ones that don't end up going back through the swinging door are doing A LOT in life better than the become an LCDC, join HCYPAA committee, and party til 4am crowd.  There is so much brainwashing in there.  I DARE you to read http://www.orange-papers.org/ orange papers or http://stinkin-thinkin.com/ stinkin thinkin

I am sorry "guest" but your stats are wrong.  You keep up with the kids who have either had no chance at all, or have been so brainwashed by this program that they could not recover from that.  I too have seen hundreds of people go through this program and 100s leave.  I have watched people stay and go to meetings everynight, followed by coffee and hang out till 4 am until they are in their 30s.  I have seen people slowly figure out that life is bigger than this, move on, go to college, drink, figure things out for themselves, rather than having a sponsor or counselor dictate their lives, and end up doing great things with their lives.  I hope one day you open your mind that there is life outside of Cornerstone and AA. And for those of you who are still in it.  When you are in a group that tells you if you leave you will wind up dead or in prison, be careful.

Why don't you use some of this negativityand turn it into something positive to help people instead of just spewing bitterness. Be an activist. Choose a cause. Do something.

Wehave yet to see how your life plays out. So just because you went to a nicecollege dosent make you a success. You could be working right along aside himat Starbucks five years from now. I have more than 10 years of experienceseeing what happens to people after they leave Cornerstone and the ones who can’tstay sober and or complete the program almost all of the time become unsuccessful. You may think you can beat the odds (and they all do) but the mere fact that asa teen you wound up in cornerstone and couldn’t complete the program says a lotabout how your life will turn out Mr. Tobola
