Robbery gone wrong.
A man who tried to rob a northside business this morning was pursued and killed when he ran into traffic, Houston police say.

The unidentified robbery suspect died about 9:45 a.m. after running from a store in the 100 block of Little York.

The owner of the business chased him in his car; the robber fired at least one shot at him, media reports say. At one point the driver pinned the man against a fence, but he escaped only to get hit by a car.

The driver of the car that hit him did not stop, and police are looking for him or her.
