Borders Going-Out-Of-Business Sale: Don't Bother

• Of course it's not going to be anything special in the beginning but the longer the sale continues the bigger the discounts. When Waldenbooks closed in my city a few months back, in the last couple weeks everything was 50%-70% off. You just have to wait it out until the end and hope there's some good stuff left.

• I agree!  Those big signs just lure you into the store.  Once inside a majority of the books are only 10% off from original price.  They must want to stay in business or go out with a warehouse full of books.

• it's true. i got two spiritual studied books. only 10% off. still paid 45 bucks for two books. way too expensive. ontop of that. they had to mark a slash on the back of them since they were "discounted"...still. sad to see this store go. i hope we still have book stores in the future. i hate kindles.

• I checked out the Borders in the Woodlands area and it was very busy. I saw several people carrying out bags of books and movies and bragging about how much they saved. Math goes out the window when businesses shut down, I guess.

• Amazon is still cheaper than the bankruptcy sale.   I am suprised they lasted as long as they did!   David
