Ron Paul: Yes, People Are Still Laughing If You Think You Will Be The 2012 GOP Nominee

• I love his politics, but the Marxist, liberal media will make sure that he's treated like a bumbling fool if he win's the nomination.  Paul's libertarianism is a breath of fresh air from the Marxist statism of Obama or the $ Statism of the bumbling, cocktail-swilling Republicans.  I want out of Afghanistan and Irag and Libya and Yemen and all the other places Mr. Obama has put or kept us "for the good of mankind."  Paul stated that the Libyan operation is not only ill-considered and wrong, but it will lead to terrorist reprisals against the U.S.   The media:  *silent*.  And if we are attacked, we are to blame Bush. Ron Paul has great ideas that hipsters, conservatives and liberals love.  The problem is, the Marxist media will do its best to destroy Paul's candidacy if he wins in NH, SC and Iowa and becomes the Republican frontrunner.  Like Sarah Palin.  Left-wing comedians now talk of murdering the former Governor.  The media:  *silent*.  I love liberalism.  I remember watching the 2008 election when Rev. Jeremiah Wright was uncovered by FOX and Drudge:  the church's connection to HAMAS, Obama's 20-year relationship to its anti-Semitic, racist "pastor" and Obama's anti-Zionist, anti-Jewish, racist beliefs.  But color trumps politics.  Obama won.  National warm fuzzy.  Now we find ourselves in two more wars, a dead economy, sexual predation on Capitol Hill, and confidence in the Messiah now at an all time low.  And while the nation goes to shit (thanks to Dem's and Rep's), the President is spending his 73rd outing on the golf course (like Bush) teeing off with the Republicans. 

• That's odd, I'm a physics major at a UC and no one I know is laughing at Ron Paul. Why would we laugh when our dollar is loosing value and our foreign policy is just wasting our money and making more enemies. I tend to take the future of our country very seriously. Ron Paul is the only candidate on either side who I will support. First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you, then you win.                                                                      

• I think this article is completely inaccurate. He goes on to describe stances that are wildly popular with the American people (like bringing the troops home) and them claims that Paul has no chance to win the vote. If he represents ideas that people agree with, and (as the article states) he has good fundraising skills, then obviously he can win the nomination. Poor journalism.

Mr. Connelly you are afraid of liberty because it takes personal responsibility, and it takes bravery to change, and you lack both. You would rather dismiss liberty, and stay safe wrapped up in the status quo of today's broken system, without offering who or what you would do to change anything. You might not like Dr. Paul, but you better like his ideas, and in a race where he is the ONLY person with these ideals, you best get behind him... You Mr. Connelly are the worst kinda of person... a "know-nothing" "do-gooder" who has tons of criticism and NOTHING in the way of solutions. In short you are a coward. Keep bashing, and keep dismissing, and keep your mouth shut if you are not going to contribute. You are a small man Mr. Connelly. You're just as bad as the liberal who still supports Obama despite his continuation of Bush era policies - you can't see that there are significant differences between now and then. Who else do you advocate? The special interest candidate Mitt Romney? The supposed 'front-runner' of the Republican Party even though he's pro-choice and enacted Socialized Medicine in his home state? There's no way he's going to be able to spin that. He's going to need $2 million to Ron Paul's $1 million just to keep up. In 2008, there was no Tea Party, many people didn't know who he was and many of his ideas were thought as fringe. Now, successfully predicting the Economic Recession and the Housing Bubble, he has gained a lot of credibility. Young Americans for Liberty and Campaign for Liberty have grown and have reached many more people since then.

Mr. Connelly is laughing... but it is a nervous laugh...

• People are still laughing at Sarah Palin. And Mitt Romney's hypocrisy. Even President Obama's first term has shown that he isn't someone to be taken seriously. Ron Paul, on the other hand, as a proponent of feasible solutions, should be taken seriously. You can't keep laughing at the guy who's always right.

• If you're laughing at Ron Paul, the joke's on you.  He was right about the wars, and he was right about the economy.  He's the only one with truly serious solutions, other than Gary Johnson, who is getting even less love than Paul this time around.  Do some research: compare Paul's fundraising and polling at this point in the 2012 election to how he was doing at this point in 2008 election.  There's a huge difference.  His ideas are resonating.

• This article is strange. I consider myself an average American with few kids , wife and home and Dr Paul is the only candiate on both sides of the political spectrum that represents me. Perhaps its the media who are out of touch with society or its just another spin session. Ron Paul 2012...the good doctor is needed.
