Rick Perry Must Answer: Does He Think SpongeBob Is Gay?
As we noted earlier, Rick Perry is calling on the nation's governors to come to Houston to attend a big Christian rally at Reliant Stadium and spend a day fasting and praying.
Well, Rick Perry?
"There is hope for America," Perry says. "It lies in heaven, and we will find it on our knees."
Kind like lost contact lenses, we guess.
Sponsoring the event is the American Family Association. The group is responsible for a whole lot of vicious anti-Muslim and anti-GLBT propaganda, but perhaps even more importantly, the AFA helped lead the charge that called SpongeBob SquarePants gay,
So Rick Perry must answer the question: Does he think SpongeBob is gay?
We expect this to be asked at every Capitol press conference until we get an answer.
Oh, and while doing that, anyone attending might ask Perry about the AFA official who has called for Muslims to be either converted or bombed (and he sounds like he'd prefer option B); there should be a nationwide U.S. ban on building mosques; and gays should not be allowed to hold public office.
Including, we guess, SpongeBob.
