Keep your traffic fingers crossed.
There's a big soccer doubleheader at Reliant Stadium tomorrow, including both Team USA and the star-studded Mexico squad. They're not playing each other, but combined they'll bring enough fans to pack the place.

Which could be a problem, since the first game begins at 6 p.m.

Metro says it's taking steps to minimize the hassle and has things under control.

"METRO is perfecting its service for big events. We learned a lot with the recent NCAA Final Four event," says Metro V-P Andrew Skabowski.

Among the changes:

-- Additional 322 TMC shuttle service - every nine minutes - 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

-- METRO Ambassadors on southbound platforms at Memorial Hermann/Zoo, Dryden, Texas Medical Center and Smith Lands will assist passengers starting at 4 p.m.

-- Extra shuttle buses for rail clearing will be staged on site at 9 p.m.

-- METRO Police Department will assign extra officers beginning at 4 p.m. to monitor activities.

-- Rail users may use bus shuttles after the game.

Metro will also have booths set up to sell fare wristbands starting at 4 p.m.
