Join Us For the First-Ever Houston Web Awards

​If you're reading this blog, that means you're pretty Web savvy, right? And it also mean you know that Houston Press is also very Web savvy. We've done feature stories on The Twitterverse, covered heartwarming Internet tales like The Bloggess saves Christmas and pursued a myriad of odd criminal exploits on Facebook.

We know our local internet community. Which is why we're inviting you to the first-ever Houston Web Awards, June 30 at Momentum Audi. We'll be giving away a bunch of awards in a variety of categories, from Best Neighborhood Blog and Best Political Blog to Best Use of Facebook to Promote A Personal Brand. Our special guest is Fat Tony, who'll also be performing, and the girls from Houston Roller Derby and the High Tech Texan himself, Michael Garfield, are presenting awards. There will be booze, food sampling, and lots of hi-jinx courtesy of yours truly, and tickets are on sale now.
