We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We reported on State Senator Mario Gallegos calling for a Texas Education Agency audit of HISD's Apollo 20 program because he said he had concerns that there might be unethical links among the district and those getting contracts.
Several readers pondered the matter of Mario Gallegos being a fighter for ethics.

Mario Gallegos and ethics in the same sentence? That's rich. Google those terms and you find he was fined $8,600 by the Texas Ethics Commission for a bevy of infractions that include lying about using campaign funds to enrich himself and failing to disclose union donations.
