As the space shuttle program winds down, people will be reflecting on all the contributions to society NASA has made.

Among them: Air hockey.

The game was developed by NASA contractors, and it remains huge, especially in the Houston area.

Our cover story this week, "Hover Boards," examines the phenomenon of the bar-game favorite, which can get surprisingly intense during top-notch tournaments.
