The Houston Dynamo bounced back from a two-game losing streak Saturday night with a scoreless draw at Real Salt Lake. For long stretches of the match, the Dynamo outclassed the class of MLS in Rio Tinto Stadium, where RSL is now unbeaten in MLS play in their last 29 matches.

RSL was without their big playmaker, Javier Morales, and the Dynamo took advantage. Midfielder Brad Davis was crossing dangerous balls into the RSL box, but the forwards were unable to finish. Corey Ashe, who continues to improve in his new role as left back, made several runs on offense to keep RSL's league-leading defense on their heels.

The second half saw the Dynamo commit much more on the offensive. Will Bruin had several great first touches on the ball, and finished with 2 shots on goal. His replacement in the 69th minute, Sergio Koke, also added a shot on goal.

"In the second half we turned it on, possessed the ball and I thought we dominated most of the second half," Dynamo midfielder Geoff Cameron said after the game.

Cameron added that the high altitude in Salt Lake City is difficult for opposing teams to play in. Add that to the fact that RSL has been one of the better teams in MLS the past couple of seasons, and it's no wonder they're unbeaten at Rio Tinto Stadium the last two years.

"We're very pleased to get a shutout [at Rio Tinto Stadium]," Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear said of his team's scoreless draw. "[RSL's] a good team and it's a tough place to play. The team showed a lot of determination and I'm happy for the guys."

The Dynamo now sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference table, where no team seems to be a clear favorite so far. They'll get a chance to move up the table next week, when they host Thierry Henry and the conference-leading New York Red Bulls on Saturday, May 21, at Robertson Stadium.
