Big scoop for CultureMap: Gabrielle Giffords left TIRR Sunday night for a dinner date at Grotto with her husband Mark Kelly.
No word whether they had coupons.
They were at the Grotto on the West Loop, not River Oaks. Tilman and Paige Fertitta were with them.
CultureMap was sadly short on any details beyond that: Nothing on what Giffords looked like or how she acted, whether other diners noticed her (an ovation? We guess not, or word probably would have leaked sooner and we'd have a cell phone picture) or even what she ate.
Dammit, CultureMap, give up the goods!! (Our Grotto sources are, unfortunately, lacking.)
Anyway, good news on the recovery front, no matter how you look at it.
