Street Art: An Interactive Map of Houston's Best

richcover.jpg
Local documentarian Alex "Pr!mo" Luster is the subject of this week's cover story.

We covered his outstanding new film Stick 'Em Up!, his bicultural upbringing, a near-death experience on the mean streets of Southwest Houston, and his early career as a 14-year-old TV news pro in detail here.

We also discussed the works of the wheat-paste street artists profiled in Stick 'Em Up. But you know that old adage: a picture is worth a thousand words, especially when you are talking about artists and their works.

Knowing that, Houston Press art director Monica Fuentes created a very nifty interactive map that allows you to view the works of people like Stick Em Up interviewees such as Give Up, Cutthroat, Dual, and Eyesore, not to mention the works of newer artists like Garro and Shreddi, from the comfort of your own home. Check it out after the jump:

Seriously? THIS is the master list of "The Best of Houston Street Art"? I think you missed some stuff.

So where is 2:12's artwork? or was it not worth mentioning on the map or the article?

Those pieces will be covered up soon. There is a reason why street artists do not divulge the locations of their work freely. EADO oversteps its bounds and crosses the 288 corridor all the time.
