We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

In the wake of the discovery that a widely disseminated "quote" from Martin Luther King that seemed eerily apropos to the death of Osama Bin Ladin was really a fake, we noted how another Facebook fave attributed to Bob Marley was also likely bogus.

One reader could only imagine if one of his favorite quotes was false.

Robert Boyd wrote:

Next you'll be telling me that Eleanor Roosevelt didn't really say, "Not only is Robert Boyd a great humanitarian, but he is the finest lover I have ever experienced." Won't you leave at least some of our illusions unshattered?
