Ronnie Earl Brewer: Off-duty constable found shot to death.
​A deputy constable was found shot to death in his car on the north side near the Eastex Freeway early this morning, Houston police say.

Ronnie Earl Brewer, 47, had been a deputy constable in Precinct 4 for a decade; the car he was driving slammed into a tree about 2 a.m. this morning, and when police investigated they discovered he had been shot.

The crash happened in the 8900 block of Ramin, near Laura Koppe and the Eastex.

Brewer was off-duty and not in uniform at the time. Police have no suspects.
