A man has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after police say he was drunk and crashed his car, killing his passenger.
Killed by a drunk driver, police say
The victim, Miguel Almaquer, was thrown from the vehicle in the single-car crash in the 6900 block of the East Sam Houston Parkway about 3 a.m. Sunday, HPD says.
Jose Martinez was arrested and charged. Police say he lost control of his car and smashed into a concrete retaining wall.
