• Well if you want to be completely accurate The economy began taking a tail spin prior to Bush taking office in 2001. If your theory is correct then that was all on Clinton. The tragedy and economic meltdown after September 11th came and all the "shoulda, coulda, woulda" people came out of the woodwork. Everyone agrees (including himself) Bush could have handled things better, but it's becoming frighteningly clear Obama's decisions are, at the very least, suspect as well.

• Does anyone know a truly competent person who could realistically be elected to office at this point? I'm genuinely curious and open to voting suggests. It is such a defeated feeling knowing that the candidate I vote for -- because she or he best represents my beliefs -- will almost certainly not benefit from my vote at all (in terms of numbers and electoral votes) because she or he is a third party. Almost disenchanting enough to make me not even vote (note I said almost; I will still be voting).

• You must be from Texas.... each state has their own format for birth certificates. Hand and foot prints are on the hospital certificates, which are NOT a certificate of birth.

I have a ceremonial piece of paper the hospital gave my parents that does, but it sure aint a birth certificate.

• I born in Lousiana, my birth certificate from 1962 has neither of those and is about the size of an index card. Yet it was good enough to recently renew my passport. So my guess is that you've not seen birth certificates from each and every state in the country.
