We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We wrote about Andy Surface, an Alvin man who allegedly swindled $8 million out of New York magazine publisher Condé Nast just by e-mailing some fake invoices.
The money was deposited in an Alvin bank, but the ruse was discovered before anything else happened.
Which led to a commenter debate over what should have happened.
Take the money and run, some said.
But Tim pointed out some problems:
True, but how would he pull it off? You can't just stuff 8 million into your underwear. And, if you pack it in suitcases, the baggage fees alone would probably wipe you out. You can't win!
