At least you're not in Knoxville
Spring is in the air, but you may not be able to smell it if you're wheezing and sniffling and full of phlegm.

Take heart, though: You could be living in Knoxville, Tennessee.

That city is the worst in the U.S. for spring allergies, according to the latest rankings from the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America.

Houston? We're a lame 66th. With "average" spring allergy trouble.

The AAFA looked at how much pollen each city had, how much allergy medicine was consumed, and how many allergy specialists per capita.

The worst town in Texas? McAllen, which came in ninth. Dallas was 35th and Austin -- which personally, always seems to kick our ass in allergy season -- was only ranked 75th.

None of this is much help if you're the one wheezing, of course. But remember: It could be worse.
