• no his dad was a nice guy i met him when i invited alex to a superbowl party but that was when he got weird i only knew him from the national guard i went through basic with him and he was in the same national guard unit but after that party i tried to separate myself from him cause he got weird

• this guy was in my basic training group and national guard group i was a friend of his but he started to turn a little weird in febuary but if anyone has questions about him i can tell you about him in basic i was shocked to hear of the arrest

• slow down there i was in the same plt as this guy and he was in the same group as me in basic he seemed a little weird but they called him the philosopher because he always gave good uplifting speeches but when we went back to civilian life since we went during the summer between junior and senior year we both went back to high school well i went to drill with him once a month with the national guard and he seemed fine until after febuary because i invited him to a superbowl party but while he was at my house he started to talk about how he like to kill stray dogs in terrible ways.. well after that i separated myself from him only talking to him at drill... as for calling us nazis thats not cool first of my grandpa fought the nazis and that comment about the us army being nazis would make him turn over in his grave and if this nation was ruled by a nazi police then you could not have posted that comment

• Maybe, rather than just reading books, you could actually get out and LIVE life rather than just reading about it. At least then you could spew something you've actually experienced rather than something you only read about. I spent 5 years in the Army as a paratrooper. I fought in Iraq and NOBODY I was with liked what we had to do. This kid is a piece of s**t and you're not much better. You sit there reading books, spewing crap you've only read and enjoying the freedoms afforded you by the Constitution of the United States and protected by "psychopaths" like ME. This kid had gone through basic training but there are killer pieces of s**t in EVERY walk of life but I would be willing to bet that the number of Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Seamen convicted of heinous crimes like this are lower than the national average. That being said, I would guess that since the wars began there may have been a rise in murders committed by Soldiers and Marines. Pussies like yourself have NO IDEA what a toll combat takes on people, especially SANE people. If the military was full of the "psychopaths" you mention then the murder rate would remain the same, most certainly high, no matter whether they were under stress or not. You, sir, are a moron and what's worse, a moron who takes freedom for granted. You don't like this "fascist American police state" then get the f**k out. There is nothing keeping you here. • Actually I've been in the military life for 25 years and have never met anyone like that so no, the military doesn't want little kids like this. He wasn't "in" the military he was actually still in highschool. ABOUT to TRY to join. Which he would have not succeed in doing.

• I realize you're "biased" and you THINK you know him. No doubt you're about his age, and are his "close" friend and relative. But you need to look into all the murders that have occurred, not just in this country, but around the world, where family & friends would have LITERALLY -- and I DO mean LITERALLY -- bet their lives that their relative/friend/spouse were INNOCENT INNOCENT INNOCENT. "There's absolutely NO WAY s/he would have/could have done such a thing!" And then all the evidence comes out -- overWHELMING circumstantial; irrefutable forensics -- there's nothing for it -- their relative/friend/spouse is guilty. And the defenders are left utterly speechless. I'm thinking of one case in particular. After his conviction, the wife swore over and over there was no way her husband was guilty. NO WAY. The jurors were bought and paid for. The prosecutor was a liar. The police had to be corrupt fools. There was NO way he was guilty! And then her husband told her -- I DID IT. I did it, I'm not sorry -- only sorry that YOU'RE still alive. I'd do it again if I thought this time I'd succeed in killing you. It'd be worth being in prison for life if you were dead! Now go away, you string of epithets. Only THEN did she finally believe he was guilty. Trust me -- you are quite possibly in the same boat as her. No one likes to hear this, but the real truth is . . . no one ever really knows anybody else. We only like to think we do. Don't believe me? Well then . . . think of all those things you've done/said/thought that you've NEVER told ANYONE else, because of the embarrassment, or fear of what they'd think if they knew, or whatever. And don't say you don't have anything in your life like that. There's not a human on this planet that doesn't wear a mask. NOT ONE (if we didn't wear masks, we'd kill each other). NOW do you see? Other than that, I have no names to call your relative, and I believe, LEGALLY speaking, he's innocent until proven guilty. • Actually, I think you DID miss his point. He's not saying talking about music or guns on FB is bad, per se. Let's put it this way -- when someone tells you who they are . . . BELIEVE THEM. Face it, if someone YOU loved was murdered for no d4mn  reason, and it turned out that the suspect was posting comments like the above on FB -- yeah, tell me you'd dismiss it, and tell any official who took an interest in what the suspect wrote that he (the official) was acting like an Orwellian "Thought Crime" enforcer.  Suuuuuure you would! If he DIDN'T take an interest, you'd be furious that he wasn't pursuing every lead! So, the fact that you too like music that makes you think of effing and "on occasion killing" may not make you a bad person -- but you better believe I DON'T TRUST YOU, and I would NOT want to be alone in a locked room with you, your gun, and your favorite music playing! • Alex is my relative, and though we're not close I know he is a kind and calm guy. I've read a lot of harsh comments, but haven't seen any evidence of his guilt. I feel like people want someone to blame and are eager to kick him while he's down. But you don't know. I think his mug shot makes people angry, like they believe his smirk means that he is cold blooded and not taking his crime seriously. But for one, that's the same face he makes in every picture...and two, maybe he's half halfheartedly smirking because he knows he did not do it and has been arrested on circumstantial evidence based on his interest in guns and military background. Obviously I'm biased toward him, but in general I am a very fair person and think all these comments insulting him are ignorant and cowardly.
