Astronaut Catherine Coleman: New Video of Jamming in Space

Categories: NASA
Our sister blog Rocks Off was sent the above video, which premiered at SXSW, and we're happy to pass it along in case you missed it over there.

Astronaut Catherine Coleman is a flute player; as has been reported, she has flutes from Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson and two of the Chieftains with her at the International Space Station.

In the clip, she gives a tour of the ISS, including that fabulous cupola, and then jams with her local band, Bandella, on one of their tunes.

Sure, we might have preferred some "Cross-Eyed Mary" with Tull or "I'll Tell Me Ma" with the Chieftains, but you can't beat the view.
