​Since announcing a $25,000 reward last week, U.S. Marshals have gotten dozens of "detailed" tips on how to find Jessica Tata, the fugitive owner of a daycare where four kids died horrifically.

"We've gotten some really good leads, and we're tracking them down," agency spokesman Alfredo Perez tells Hair Balls. He won't say whether Tata's been tracked to Nigeria, as rumored.

The early outpouring of tips after the fire was, perhaps, not as helpful as it might have been.

"We had a lot of people call in to say stuff like "Yeah, you should check her Facebook page,'" Perez says. "We're like, 'Yeah, okay. That's great.'"

(Anyone searching Tata on Facebook comes across some new sites calling for her slow, painful execution.)

The early tips that were useful, Perez says, came from members of Tata's church.

"We got a lot of calls from people who knew her from her church; she was a big church person," Perez says. "They provided a lot of background information."

Tata has been indicted on four counts of manslaughter, six counts of reckless injury to a child, three counts of abandoning a child under 15 and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. She's been named to the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted list.
