• To Scooter...Your wife should have been disqualified as a juror. The fact that she sat there holding all these deep-seated prejudices and did not disclose being married to someone who worked at Barsana Dham as a security guard just reveals the depths to which this court sank. This juror should have been taken off. My God...are there really people like this? I feel like we're in the pre-civil rights era and just witnessed the religious equivalent of a 'good old fashioned Southern lynching'. The Swami's constitutional rights were repeatedly and severely trampled; he was basically assasinated by the judge, juror, media and small town prosecutors looking for their 15 minutes of fame. Also, what Michael Scandirito says below is on target...anyone who is not white and protestant should be wary of the government and the 'general society - they look normal but are more than happy to string up some 'damn foreigner' and their 'weird relgion'. It's totally disgusting'.

" I completely disagree with the statement above - the fact that he ran away doesn't make him guilty. the guy is 86 years old. • Spring Hope: Um, where in my post does it say anything about supporting a pedophile? the whole context of my post is to claim that i don't believe that the swami is a pedophile, and that i don't agree with the accusations. if you have read anything about this whole saga you'd know that the whole thing seems to stem from a family disagreement - the accuser's whole family claims that she is making stuff up because she doesn't like the religion / community. Furthermore, I find it very hypocritical that everyone is going after this swami for supposedly kissing and groping when all the Catholic priest rapists out there are roaming around free. Anyone who supports a pedophile (especially a clergyman) should be checked out for suspect motives and association. Hope the US Marshal's are looking at you too. Too bad many states dont take the responsibility to prosecute catholic priests the same way. But dont take that out on these victims. Perhaps this will set a precedence, so abusive catholic priests and their prosecutors also get the message. If the swami hadnt run off, some of the jury were prepared to give him just probabation, which would have been just a slap on the wrist like some catholic priests get. He probably would have gotten a lot lighter sentence if he didnt run away where he can still molest other girls, and what if one of those he ran into was your girl?

• Michael: well said. Amazing that the state spends so much taxpayer money going after an obviously innocent swami who is accused of "kissing" and "groping breasts" - where are all the prosecutions of priests that RAPED little boys? Absolutely ridiculous.

• All that place is a cult and a corp hiding place for tax evasion using stupid people as a front. Yes, I said stupid. Anyone who devotes themselves to any person is someone who has no spine and not enough inteligence to think for themselves and should not be allowed to use my oxygen. The guy who posted his bond is a business man who evades taxes by operating from a church, therefore pays no taxes. And also there was no cover up by the prosecutors. I should know, my wife was the biker lady on the jury. that whole place needs to be bulldozed with all the devotees locked inside. I was also able to oberve the stupidity first hand as the company I worked for was the security company there. One more reason I quit. These are NOT self sustaining entities as the devotees turn over all worldly posessions to the ashram or will be sent to hell. I bow to no man! And I will eat his meals before he does.

• anyone paying attention to any of this, beyond any texan redneck believing everything the manipulated and co opted media feeds them, knows this is baloney. prakshanand is clearly and obviously innocent based on the evidence of the court's evidential cover up of the official... "evidence"...which was a testimony of the alleged lying woman claiming to have been molested. did it just magically vanish? or was it destroyed, because it could have easily been criticized to prove prakashanand's innocence? and the prosecuting atty. told the jury to, in his own words, "use your gut feeling", since the real evidence was destroyed. ?!?!? the state has done this to hindu gurus for decades, because the ashrams are non-profit, do not rely on the corporate infested state for subsidies or food etc. these ashrams are SELF SUSTAINED communities, and the corporate state hates them. this is why guru after guru has been convicted of outrageous charges to break up the movements they create here and steal their money, which the county is doing in VIOLATION of the separation of church and state. so, rather than lock up a an innocent, simple old religious man whose supporters rightfully helped him flee, the state will do what they intended: steal the ashram's money and break up their movement to condition them to be reliant on the corporate hand to feed them instead of the responsible, self sustained, disciplined motives of a hard working, genuine spiritual community.
