Comment of the Day: Rodeo Sissy Edition

We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
We were all a bit chagrined at the Wall Street Journal's article about how the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo had gone all sissy, what with our wine and knick knacks. Of course, the irony of a paper like the WSJ commenting on the toughness of anything was not lost on us or on our commenters.
One of them, manxlucky, summed it up nicely:
