An Even Crazier 4Loko Coming Soon from the Mexican Drug Cartels

When 4Loko just isn't enough, try meth-laced Corona.
Caffeinated beer is for amateurs. The really powerful stuff appears to be just starting to seep across the Mexican border right now.

Saturday night U.S. Customs and Border Protection working the McAllen-Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge found a case of 1.2 liter Coronas in a green Pontiac minivan driven by 19-year-old Carolina Avila. Along with her in the van were her one-year-old daughter and a grown man who was not named in this report.

On closer examination, foreign particles appeared to be suspended in the Coronas. Did they suspect that all those old slanders about Corona might be true?

Hardly. A drug dog was summoned and the canine alerted to the brew, and a subsequent field test revealed that the beer was infused with meth. Miles away from ordinary, indeed.

Avila later told ICE special agents that she was returning home to Illinois after visiting her dad in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. She said her dad had tossed the cranked-up Coronas in the van as she was packing. She told the agents that she didn't know how much she would be paid, but, according to a U.S. district court complaint, allegedly said that she "figured her father would take care of that."

Avila was in federal custody as of yesterday. The man was not charged with a crime.

So here we have the dad of the year enrolling his daughter in a drug-smuggling operation which she conducts with her baby in tow. Parents of the year like these two are not just born, they are made.
