Westbury High Revolution: Cairo's Got Nothing on Them

To Dave & Buster's!!!!
The heady whiff of freedom in Cairo has worked its way to Westbury on the southwest side today, as about 100 students are going to be disciplined for protesting about a canceled field trip.

The Westbury High field trip was supposed to be to Dave & Buster's, where students could learn about the fine art of sucking money from teens via the sneaky token system. But principal Tim Wainwright broke up the protest this morning and ordered the rebelling students into the auditorium to hear all about it.

Some didn't go in, some didn't stay and some otherwise misbehaved, apparently, so action was taken.

Some news outlets are reporting the students had been suspended; HISD is being more circumspect.

The district's only comment or answer to any questions about the incident is a statement from Wainwright, which reads in full:

The decision to cancel the field trip was based on adhering to district policy. We have spoken to the students and will take appropriate disciplinary action.

No word if Anderson Cooper was present and got roughed up this morning.
