JFK in Houston in His Last Hours: New Film

The Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas has released new silent home-movie footage of JFK's Houston visit to a LULAC chapter in the Rice Hotel the night before he was murdered.

Roy Botello, a LULAC official, shot the film. It shows Kennedy with his professional smile on, greeting visitors in a receiving line. The smile on Jackie's face seems a little more forced, although she did score big by speaking easily in Spanish later to the crowd.

After JFK leaves, be sure to keep watching for an awesome set of cat's-eye glasses on one departing woman.

Might as well look at Kennedy's more famous Houston video, the speech and Q&A about his Catholic faith with skeptical Protestant ministers in 1960. Hard to believe some of the questions:
