Ice Storm II, The Re-Pain in the Assing: One Day More

Not much ice this time around, thankfully
Houston escaped a horrific commute last night and this morning, as precipitation stayed away. So Ice Storm II: The Re-Pain in the Assing turned out to be somewhat of a flop, as a lot of sequels are.

We're just about out of the woods -- it's cold, and we'll have another hard freeze tonight -- but it's not unbearable out there, and help is on the way.

Tomorrow should be better, and by the weekend we're looking at temperatures near 60 degrees.

Still, the weather has taken its toll: UH's RecycleMania rally today has been canceled. Because no one wants to mess around with recycling when it's cold.

Metro is also running buses as warming stations at 21 transit centers across the city, until 9 a.m. tomorrow. Almost 7,000 boardings were recorded during last week's freeze, a Metro spokeswoman says.
