We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

Our Pop Rocks correspondent studied the brouhaha over Justin Bieber's interview with Rolling Stone, wondering why exactly anyone would care what a 16-year-old pop phenom cares about important political issues.

But the Bieb's views must be taken into account, one reader said.

Katy wrote:

He needs to be careful. I mean, I was going to buy his album, but now I'm hearing rumors that his capital gains tax policy is completely impractical, and there's no excuse for that.

What's a Bieber indeed. I will be happy when his "star", has all but faded to a distant and embarrassing memory for his fans. I remember the craziness stirred up by New Kids on The Block, and they have taken their rightful spot in pop music world. He will also. I don't think he is anymore of a douche bag than all the other mysterious pop sensations that have come before him. They get real hot then fizzle and, then end up on a where are they now special. Thats when we learn, he was snorting coke of a guy or girls body and chasing it with expensive whiskey. The segment will go on to inform us that he was horrible with money and now sings at retirement centers and other cheap functions. We act shocked, then happy that there is sweet justice in this world. Eh,
