Weather about to go all Van Winkle on your ass
Let the fear begin!

The Ice Monster that will likely put a deep freeze on Dallas's Super Bowl festivities is also headed our way, as anyone who watched television news today or tomorrow will learn (Here are five tips on surriving the unsurvivable, by the way.)

And TxDOT is already spraying the roads.

"TxDOT is taking precautionary measures by spraying the magnesium chloride anti-icing solution on those overpasses and bridges in Montgomery County that have a history of icing," the agency's Karen Othon says.

The streets getting the treatment:

SH 105 West from Loop 336 to Grimes County Line

FM 1097 from FM 149 east to SH 75

IH 45 North Woodlands Flyover

SH 242 at San Jacinto River

Expect more to come tomorrow. Watch out for the trucks as you head out to the supermarket to lay in three months' worth of survival supplies.
