Comment of the Day: The Conflicted Life of a Texans Fan
We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.
So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.
This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.
Our Sean Pendergast gave some thought yesterday to life as a Texans fan with Gary Kubiak returning for another season. It wasn't a particularly uplifting and sunshine-and-rainbows piece, but then again it was about Gary Kubiak returning for another season.
It led one reader to ponder the existence of Texan Fan, circa 2011.

Yes, I think he deserves to be fired, but it isn't my decision and there's nothing I can do to change it. The other choice is to root against the team and hope they play so badly next year that McNair finally comes to his senses and cleans house. That just seems like a miserable way to approach following the team.
Even on Sunday, when losing would have helped the team in the long term, I still found myself cheering every time Arian Foster busted a long run or Owen Daniels caught a pass
