Tea Party Rule: Almost One-Third Of Texas House Signs Up With Dan Patrick

• Adele consistently referred to the state, not the city. The state provides services that they are planning to cut next year, such as education funding and Medicaid. The City, however, plans to add new taxes and reduce the amount of services cut. Perhaps if you had better reading comprehension you wouldn't have added that little comment.

• The State of Texas is not responsible for the irresponsible spending policies of City Council and Mayor Lanier/Brown/White/Parker. Yet you blame the Republicans. Wake up.

• Silly article Spooty, no offense. Comparing those pushing for societal change to a teenager's quest for freedom from his parents is facile to say the least. And I wouldn't expect more from the "American Thinker". I guess Martin Luther King was just a frustrated teen acting out? Whereas Dan Patrick is mature enough to....do what exactly?

• Dan Patrick has failed at everything he ever tried to do in his entire life... then he tried politics, and of course, in the South, he got elected. Carry the flag and a bible, hating gays, expounding at great length on the lack of prolonged bible studies in out schools, and screaming about abstinence he is everything a Tea Parter could be. He is also stupid, uneducatable, bigotd, sleazy and he makes your skin crawl when you are around him. His past, he says, is not important. Well, his past is evil and I think it is important. He is like all the rest of the criminals, when they find God they think they should rule the world. He was a better person when he was drunk all the time.

• Republicans have destroyed the State of Texas. Now with the Tea Party as an accomplise they will steal what is left. In the Chronicle this morning... costs of all services are all going to be raised in the first month of 2011. The State has a deficit of twenty-two BILLION dollars. How is that for efficiency? We have Perry who is a thief as well as a dumbell for Governor, but he ran for an unprecedented third term and got elected because the Tea Party is Gung Ho for his accomplishments. That, of course is because the Tea Party are themselves a bunch of religious fanatics and dumbells of the extreme. But as long as he carries a bible, even if he has never read it, Rick Perry and the Tea Party will rule this State.
