It's The Sugar Land Skeeters, Like It Or Not

• The name is horrible and embarrassing. the skeeters? go to google images and type in skeet and see what you get... i bet you it wont be a mosquito. and for the location... hwy 6 and 90? literally the busiest intersection in sugar land in the middle of 5 o'clock traffic. Also its next to Nalco.(www.nalco.com)When i was a child, i use to play sports near that place and all i could remember was the horrendous smell coming from that place. Yay.. i cant wait.(total sarcasm)

• Nothing is off limits to this "writer", no matter how juvenile. What's sad is he actually thinks he's clever.

• Thank you guys for the "clarification" and yes now I understand where the referral came from (Shelley Sekula Gibbs). And now I understand what Houstonpress.com considers acceptable to print. I still think it is offensive and harsh, given that the team and ODP (unlike Shelley) has absolutely no history good or bad from which to draw any inferences. Having said that, Skeeters wasn't my first choice (or 2nd or 3rd, etc...) I was the Imperials guy; but Im gonna support the team, whatever they are called. Its just good business for the area and it will be fun to go to to a game that doesnt cost $200 for my family to attend.

• But to answer your question, Jake, yes, the "C" word is used in this column EVERY SINGLE DAY and often repeatedly, if not by the bloggers, then by their avid and perverted fans. Yes it's moronic, boring and depraved, and yet they laugh at themselves all over again every day, just like it's a new joke. I advise you not to click the link anymore. I made the mistake on this article, once again.

• Jake, that "C" word and ones like it are probably being used all around your kid's school. And I'll wager that if he's 13 years or older, pictures of the real thing are showing up on his internet pages fairly often. • I'm not usually one to stifle freedom of the press, but I found this page searching for "Sugar Land Baseball". Your use of the "C" word is extremely offensive and unprofessional. I would be horrified if my son or daughter read this today when they got home from school. Granted, I should probably blacklist HoustonPress.com from children under 18. Is that word regularly used in your publication?
