We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

Overtaken by the Christmas spirit, we listed 50 great things about living in Houston. One commenter liked this foray into positivity, even though he took a shot at us taking shots at Republicans.

It wouldn't be the Press without a couple of shots at the right, but other than that, I loved to see something positive printed about Houston. I would interchange best BBQ for best Tex Mex, as the BBQ is not great here, although I do like Gaitlan's and Pierson's a lot, but be prepared to wait for super slow service at Gaitlan's. As for those who complain about traffic, nobody put a gun to your head and made you move to Katy or Cypress, although Mayor Lanier and Metro bought and demolished a perfectly good rail line along I-10 that connected to the light rail at UH Downtown. I like the BREAKING NEWS on the weather, it's gong to be 31, don't forget to wrap the pipes.
