Pearland Bank Hostage Situation Drags On
The daylong drama at a Pearland bank continues, as a thwarted robber holds a hostage after letting five others go free.
We're betting the Pearland guy lacks Clive Owens' charm
It began this morning when a 911 caller reported guys with masks entering the bank. Shots were exchanged with no one being hurt; Pearland police do say, however, that the bank manager was "assaulted" during the incident.
The TV stations are all over this, especially as the afternoon shows get set to begin, so go ahead and watch and try not to think about Dog Day Afternoon, Inside Man or those new Bud Light commercials.
Update: And the SWAT teams have gone in, apparently with flashbangs, and arrested the suspect and rescued the hostages, including three employees who had been hiding throughout the incident.
