Kistin Cordova: Facebook messages alerted victim's mother
KHOU is reporting that a Pasadena woman named Kistin Cordova is in jail for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl she had met at a skating rink.

We can't find the court documents on the case, but the station says Cordova befriended the young girl and then sexually assaulted her when she brought her to her apartment for a sleepover. A second assault happened later, at another apartment.

The victim's mother alerted police when she saw messages from Cordova on her daughter's Facebook page.

KTRK reports that Cordova was an 18-year-old senior at Sam Rayburn High when the two encounters allegedly occurred in 2009.

Cordova is in jail on a $30,000 bond.

Update: The Houston Chronicle reports that the victim might have assumed Cordova was a man named "Justin."
