We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

Hey, who says the Comment of the Day has to be something you agree with? Sometimes it makes sense to highlight a comment so bad it reminds you there are Americans out there who don't think like you do.

We wrote last month about Mayor Annise Parker appointing the city's first transgendered judge, Phyllis Frye. The news finally reached one of our readers, who offered this insight:

Said Harv:

Hey this is a good start, but if we truly want diversity, we must fill the city council with murders, Sodomites, child molesters, etc.

Hey, there are no moral ablsolutes...right?

Our motto for the new diverse Houston should be, "If it feels good...do it!"

Harv: We're guessing he's not an Obama man.
