See Denver rally photos.
The Rally Whose name You're Already Familiar With was not just a Washington, DC event. Cities across the country held satellite versions of the event who couldn't make it to DC.

Our papers covered the local stuff and what went on at the Mall, and Nick Luccehsi of our Denver paper
Westword put together a comprehensive recap, which follows.

If you were outside enjoying the fall weather this weekend, and not holed up in your home watching Comedy Central, you might have missed the airing of the "Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear," hosted by the cable channel's fake newscasters/real pundits Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert (there was, however, plenty of media coverage.) While the actual rally was on the National Mall in D.C., many cities held satellite rallies of their own, including Denver.

In Los Angeles, the satellite event for John Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity took place Saturday at MacArthur Park's Levitt Pavilion. Photo by Ted Soqui for LA Weekly. And yes, it is one of the best signs ever.

In Dallas, the sanity/fear truck showed up at the rally at Lee Harvey's, as proved in these photos by Stephen Masker for the Dallas Observer.

Keegan Hamilton, a staff writer for the Riverfront Times in St. Louis, also was in D.C. for the rally, and he spotted more than a few signs -- here are his "5 hilarious signs" picks.

New York's Village Voice was among the throngs of people at the rally and has published these photos from D.C.

Finally, nice move by the Miami New Times, which asked a comedian to cover a rally put on by comedians. No NPR-ish analysis here, just laughs. Miami comic Daniel Reskin brings back this report for the New Times.
