Henry Fairlie: Trying to keep the customers satisfied
The concierge service at the Harris County Jail just got a little more inadequate: a detention officer has been arrested and charged with trying to deliver drugs and contraband into the facility.

Note to incarcerated customers: Pending deliveries of drugs and contraband may be affected. Please contact your customer service rep with any questions.

Henry L. Fairlie, 51, had been working at the jail for a year two years before his arrest Tuesday. The Sheriff's Internal Affairs Division Pro-Active Unit conducted an undercover investigation to nab him, HCSO spokesperson Christina Garza said.

He was formally charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (Xanax) and introducing contraband into a penal institution.

"This office will continue to investigate any and all complaints of employee misconduct as a commitment to
not only the citizens of Harris County, but to my staff and the inmates under my
care," said Sheriff Adrian Garcia. "This is the only way to ensure the trust of
our citizens."
