Galveston Of The `60s, As Seen By A Glen Campbell Music Video

Categories: Texas
When was the last time former Galveston County Commissioner Jimmie Vacek got a shout-out in a music video?

The answer, we're guessing, is whenever this video came out. A friend of Hair Balls discovered it and passed it on to us.

It's Glen Campbell singing "Galveston" to scenes of a forlorn young woman walking through the city and on the beach.

Campbell's ghostly image hovers over views of the Flagship Hotel, the monument on Broadway, fishing boats and -- for some reason -- a loving closeup of the entrance to the Galveston County Courthouse.

Just for fun, there's also a fleeting image of Ghostly Glen and Forlorn Girl going up in flames. (It was the `60s, man.)
