Peter Neal Ennis: Cops Ask For K-2, He Tries To Sell Real Weed
The redneck-a-licious northern Galveston County town of Santa Fe is one of a growing number of Texas municipalities to have banned so-called "K-2," the synthetic marijuana convenience stores peddle under brand names such as Kush, Midnight Chill, Serenity and Herbal Mysteries.

According to this report, it was while enforcing that Class C misdemeanor ordinance and simultaneously cracking down on tobacco sales to minors, that Santa Fe police netted a (very) slightly bigger fish. A very dumb fish at that.
While taking down four stores last Friday for selling cigarettes to an underage undercover narc, and also ridding the streets of some 15 ounces of K-2 (with a reported street value in the very low four figures), plainclothes cops cited an employee of the Santa Fe Tobacco Mart on Highway 6.
That was when 37-year-old Peter Neal Ennis rolled up to the store's drive-thru, an open container of booze in plain view.
Posing as a store employee, a Santa Fe cop asked Ennis if he had any K-2 for sale.
Hell no, Ennis replied. He didn't mess with that crap.
But on the other hand, he said if they were looking for real weed, he would be happy to hook 'em up.
Sadly for Ennis the only things getting hooked up would be his wrists. Cops ended their little charade and arrested him for possession of less than two ounces of weed. His bail was set at $1,000.
What an absurd mess. Had Ennis only sold the undercovers the fake weed they had been after, which can be much stronger in its effects than real weed, he would have been written a ticket and sent on his way. But he didn't - he tried to sell them real weed, and in the eyes of the law, the real thing ain't always the right thing.
