A man was shot to death as he and his two brothers tried to stop a man from breaking into his car on the northwest side early Thursday morning, police say.
The victim, whose identity was not released, saw the suspect about 4:20 a.m. and went out to confront him with his two brothers, HPD says.
An altercation and gunfire ensued; the victim was hit several times and was pronounced dead at the scene. The two brothers were taken to Ben Taub.
